Glacier driving, Iceland

It’s a big call, but this is probably one of the world’s best day tours.

Not for nothing is it named Iceland- pure ice, pure snow, pure air, pure water, pure otherworldly beauty. Get off the road to try glacier walking and snow mobiling on the Langjökull Glacier. Accessible by day trip from Reykjavík, most tours also take in the Golden Circle:  Þingvellir (site of the original Icelandic parliament) and also the Eurasian-American geological rift which you can walk along,  Geysir (the original geyser) and the spectacular Gullfoss waterfalls. It’s a big call, but this is probably one of the world’s best day tours.
